Overall, this weeks sales are VERY GOOD!
Produce with good prices this week include: watermelon, cucumber, blueberries and grape tomatoes.
Frozen fruit is at our "buy lots" price (<$3.00). Cheese is on a decent sale as well for $4.44 for 500g bar.
There are a couple great sales this week:
There is one amazing "mega super not likely to be beat anytime soon" sale this week on PEANUTS. At Independent you can buy Planters dry roasted peanuts (600g) for $1.99 this week, making the price $0.33/100g which is great! I've never yet seen a sale on peanuts for less than $0.50/100g yet.
If you haven't heard of Checkout51 yet, you should REALLY look into it. Checkout51 is an app for your phone (possibly other platforms as well). Each week there are deals when you purchase a specific item or set of items and you get money back (like electronic coupons except you need to redeem at least $20.00 worth of deals before you can get a cheque mailed to you). Most of the products on the app aren't items I usually buy, but for most people I bet there are lots of great deals out there to be had. On Checkout51 they post all sorts of discounts on all kinds of items including cleaning products, personal care, health care, groceries, toys, etc. and lately even some produce. The $20 adds up surprisingly fast! This week they have apples on their list!
Recipe/Meal Ideas for this week's "sales":

There are a couple great sales this week:
- Cherries are on sale for $1.88/lb, they are in season so now is the time to buy! Anything under $2.00 is a decent price for cherries.
- Crackers are on sale this week for $1.44 which is our "buy as many as we can carry" price. We go through 1 to 2 boxes each week mainly because of the Healthy Snack Fund, but also because Mr. T. can be a cracker goblin.
